Whose phone is it for?
Which plans you can choose, and how to try it again, depend on whose phone it is.
Your first 14 days cost nothing, even when they end: no card is registered, so the phone simply goes back to the free lock on one app. A subscription's free trial is different: unless you cancel, it turns into a paid subscription.
Every feature free for the first 14 days. No card needed.
Install Live Lock and set a parent PIN, and your first 14 days are free, with every feature, no purchase and no card
After the first 14 days, only the lock on one app stays free. Your settings stay, and come back with a purchase
After the first 14 days
To continue, choose a subscription (1 month, 6 months or 1 year) or Lifetime
Subscriptions come with a 14-day free trial. Unless you cancel, it turns into a paid subscription; cancel during it and nothing is charged
Google Play asks for a payment method when you start a subscription's free trial.
On a phone installing it for the first time, the first 14 days are free.
Install Live Lock on your child's phone and set a parent PIN, and its first 14 days are free, with every feature. No purchase, no card, no parent approval
After the first 14 days, only the lock on one app stays free. Your settings stay
After the first 14 days
To continue, buy a prepaid plan or Lifetime on your child's phone, with your approval
To try every feature again, start a subscription's 14-day free trial on your own phone and hand over the code with "Give the trial to your child's phone". Paste it into "Receive a trial from a parent" on your child's phone (for the QR code, scan it with your child's phone camera and copy the code). For siblings, paste the same code on each phone
If you started the free trial only to hand it over, cancel your subscription during the trial and nothing is charged. Even if you cancel after handing it over, the trial on your child's phone continues until its end date.
You can hand over the trial without setting up any app locks on your own phone.
Auto-renewing subscriptions can't be chosen on a child's account.

Renewal reminder
Prepaid plans don't renew on their own. So protection never lapses without anyone noticing, you can choose to put your child's phone into full lock (calls still work) starting 1 month, 2 weeks or 1 week before the end date (we recommend 2 weeks), so your child comes to you about renewing. Whether to set it is up to you.

From "App locks" down, the Free column shows how it works after the first 14 days. The first 14 days cost nothing, even when they end. On a child's account (managed with Family Link), auto-renewing subscriptions can't be chosen. Prepaid plans and Lifetime can be bought with a parent's approval. Prepaid plans have no free trial. For a child's phone whose first 14 days are over, follow the steps under "Your child's phone" above.
Billing and cancellation are handled by Google Play.
One purchase covers one phone (one Google account)
Prepaid plans don't renew on their own. Extend them from the app before they end; the extra time is added to what's left
Prices are in US dollars and billed in your local currency
Billing, cancellation and refunds follow Google Play's terms
Common questions
I can't choose monthly on my child's phone
Auto-renewing subscriptions can't be chosen on a child's account. Buy a prepaid plan (1 month, 6 months or 1 year) or Lifetime, with a parent's approval. To try it first, see "Your child's phone" above.
Can I change plans later?
Auto-renewing subscriptions can be changed from Google Play's subscription settings. For a prepaid plan, extend it from the app before it ends, or choose another plan after it ends.
